A war between mankind and corrupt spirits has begun, your village has been attacked. Destiny calls to you to put an end to this war. You mount your trusty steed and set off into the wilderness. Wind whips through your hair as you pass war torn fields and abandoned villages. As the day comes to an end you decide to find a nice place to set up camp and you enter a dark, ethereal forest draped in ancient greenery. The sun has begun to set and it’s getting harder and harder to see your way when off in the distance you see a faint glow. You lead your mount through the thick brush and find a path, overgrown but better than the brush.

The glow you saw earlier intensifies, the smell of Cedar & Pine fill the air. Suddenly the forest transforms into a magical realm full of magical beasts. Small furry critter scamper by, you see what appears to be many small flames, but they’re white and they appear to be moving as if they’re walking. The closer you get, you see a small white wisp scurry by you, then another. Finally the scampering creatures stop and you finally understand that you have arrived at the mystical forest your ancestors told stories about. The glowing creatures are Kodama, a magical yokai that inhabit trees and are a sign that the forest is healthy. As you lay your head down on a pile of soft evergreen fronds, you slowly drift into a deep slumber, awaiting what tomorrow will bring.
